"I would like to convey to you
my appreciation for your live beaver trap.
" In the past,
we have used mostly conibear traps as
the old live trap we had was very ineffective.
We found that
the beavers defeated the old livetrap (Bailey
Beaver Trap) that we have more often than not. They
simply got a branch
stuck in the traps and then were able to escape.
The spring-loaded nature of the Bailey trap was also
somewhat hazardous to
work with.
"Your trap, with its off-set top, compensates
for the beaver carrying debris into the trap. It
is ruggedly
built and
unbelievably easy to set.
"As I mentioned earlier,
we have relied heavily on Conibear traps simply because
they were
more effective
for us
than the Bailey. Within the townsite, something
other than a
killing trap is preferred: especially if
you happen to have a dog off leash or a child activate
the
trap.
"In four days, we trapped four beaver
with your trap! You cannot get any more successful
than
that. Thanks
again
for your product." – John, Conservation Officer, Saskatchewan |
